Community Group Facilitator
Looking for an organised, creative individual with good communication skills to help run community initiatives for Survivors of Modern Day Slavery.
The LifeLink department is all about meeting the additional needs of our service users. It works alongside the regionally based accommodation, outreach and long term support teams to improve the quality of life, raise aspirations and accelerate survivors of Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking towards independence and sustainable freedom.
Responsibilities:
- To work with the coordinator in organising and planning all community initiatives in your region. This includes assessing risk.
- To administrate the running of all community initiatives in your region.
- It will be required to run groups on at least two days in two different locations. Groups will be run in both Manchester and Liverpool.
- Any other initiatives that will be added in when planning.
- To work with the coordinator in sourcing. Including but not limited to: location for groups, activities in groups, activities for cultural or religious events, activity options.
- To work with other departments in promoting the initiatives of the LifeLink department and encouraging survivors to attend.
- To work with the coordinator in the monitoring and tracking of initiatives.
- To help with the orientation and support of volunteers.
- To manage appropriate ratios at groups and events
- Provide regular feedback to the coordinator of the initiatives delivered in the region.
- Attend team meetings.
- Compiling with policies, procedures, safeguarding, health and safety through all initiatives.
- Working with both female and male clients, even when the same-gendered staff is not present
- Working with dependents/children
- Working in safe houses, which will be at a separate location to groups venues.
